From November 2018-19, Germany’s Goethe-Institut will promote cultural exchanges across the United States as part of Deutschlandjahr USA: “The Year of German-American Friendship.”
Throughout the year, the new Goethe Pop Up Seattle in Capitol Hill’s Chophouse Row will host and support gallery showings, music performances, film screenings, food events, discussions and more.
As Managing Director of the Goethe Pop Up Seattle, Arabelle Liepold is excited to be working with partners in Seattle and abroad to create an innovative cultural program and show how Germany and the U.S. can be “Wunderbar Together”.
Arabelle was born and raised in Bonn, Germany. She studied in Constance, Germany, and Sydney, Australia, and has a Master's degree in Germanics, English and American Literature, Art and Film. After having worked in the book publishing industry for several years, she moved from Berlin to Seattle in 2014 and held various positions at local non-profit organizations. She is passionate about bringing people from different backgrounds together through arts and culture.
