Biography

Three years into my graduate studies at the UW Department of Germanics, I am looking forward to working on my dissertation. My project discusses spatial configurations in contemporary German-language prose; it operates with the concept of the enclave to explore literary representations of difference in the age of globalization. As a Hanauer Fellow, I participate in an interdisciplinary seminar that considers the place of Western civilization in the curriculum of American liberal arts institutions. As usual, I teach language and culture classes in the Germanics Department and I enjoy the daily company of my colleagues and students.
