On November 30, the Goethe-Institut San Francisco and the Goethe Pop Up Seattle organized a German career fair at the Husky Union Building (HUB) on the UW Seattle Campus. The all-day event was set up within the framework of the current Deutschlandjahr (Year of German-American Friendship). Representatives of universities, companies and exchange organizations informed high school and college students about opportunities to study, work and intern in Germany. Workshops and panel discussions offered them a chance to get in contact with organization and company representatives who made a career with German and in Germany.
We thank the organizers from the Goethe-Institut for inviting us to set up an info table at the event to showcase the UW Germanics program and the range of our offerings. Students in our program welcomed the opportunity to connect with interesting people and to inform themselves about future study and career options.
