German Club is excited that its action-packed Spring Quarter event calendar is in full swing!
At German Club’s first general meeting on April 6, we welcomed some new faces and had fun playing games while practicing German together. The following day, German Club partnered with the Department of German Studies to co-host a special mentoring lunch featuring two local high school German teachers, who spoke with student attendees about their career paths, educational experiences, and advice for current undergraduates. They shared their insights into study abroad, dispelled myths about the teaching profession, and encouraged students to consider becoming German teachers, a solid and rewarding career path that helps maintain and revitalize the study of German at the high school level.
On Thursday, April 20, German Club hosted another great German-themed potluck. We enjoyed everyone’s amazing, delicious creations and had fun hanging out together!
Many more fantastic German Club events are coming up this Spring Quarter! Join us on Thursdays at 5:00pm in Denny 359 for weekly game nights, where German learners of all levels can practice the language in a fun, low-pressure environment.
Also be sure to check out Kaffeestunde and the Margarethe von Trotta German Film Series this quarter! These events will be held on Tuesday afternoons in Denny 359.
German Club is looking forward to seeing you soon!
